Carnival Invitation

And here is the invite for the carnival party!

Carnival Themed Party

Here are some photos of the party I put together for my son's 9th birthday. It ended up raining that day in PDX so we scrambled and moved everything inside! It still worked out - though a little cramped for the games. The kiddos enjoyed body bumping, foosball, hit the bottle and bean bag toss games, as well as a 'concession' stand and sweets table!

Have a theme in mind for your next party? We would love to help you create it! http://www.munchkindesigns.com/.

Enjoy!

I just love the shot from Aiden's birthday party. Such a fun idea for the kids to get to fill their goodie bags with their fave sweet!

A Little Pirate Party!

We were so thrilled to receive an email from one of our fave clients, Tracy Rains, letting us know that she planned to submit her son Aiden's birthday party photos to party blogs!

From Tracy Rains:

Since closing my children's clothing line, Pumpkin Noodle, at the end of 2009, I have been longing for a creative outlet. Along came my son's 3rd birthday!

When I started to plan my son Aiden's Pirate themed 3rd birthday party, I immediately thought of Munchkin Designs and their darlin party favors. After giving Lisa from Munchkin Designs my idea's she came up with the perfect invitation that was exactly what I was looking for!

After discussing it with the birthday boy, we decided to do a candy buffet table at the party. Aiden and I had so much fun putting this together.

The kids had a wonderful time on the treasure hunt and the musical squares but the candy buffet table was definitely the hit of the party!

The BEST pumpkin muffins!

A couple years ago, I did a weekly playgroup with my son. One of the mamas made these amazing pumpkin muffins for a snack and the kids went wild for them. She then told us that there were only 2 ingredients and the moms went wild!

Well this weekend I decided to make them and add a third ingredient which made them even better! My kids love to make these because they can literally do the whole thing themselves.

I hope you and your family enjoy this recipe!

Ingredients:

1 box of spice cake mix
1 14 ounce can of pumpkin (I prefer Trader Joes Organic Pumpkin)
1/2 bag of chocolate chips

Steps:

Preheat over to 350 degrees. Grease a muffin tin or use muffin cups.

Mix the spice cake mix and pumpkin together. Add the chocolate chips. This mix will be really sticky. Fill the muffin cups about 2/3 full.

Bake for 22-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Recipe makes 24 super yummy muffins!

Enjoy!
